In December of 2024, co-creator of The Terror (2018) began releasing a series of character playlists. David Kajganich started with an origianl set of 15 character playlists based on fan votes. The original event release schedule saw the fans through into 2025, ending unofficially in March, with an additional 7 playlists released in a sort of mini-madness week. August 10th saw Dave K releasing Magnus Manson's playlist after being moved by the passing of Ozzy Osborne. January 11, 2026 saw a wonderful revival of Davechella for a special 5 extra playlists.

These playlists were created from the perspective that this is what these characters are listening to in the modern day as imagined by co-creator David Kajganich. The last few songs on the playlist are ones that the character may feel are special or may not want others to find out they listen to. Each character also has one song as chosen by the actor of that character. Below I will be listing out some Davechella resources, including the Cold Boys Fandom Hub official Davechella blog, which you should check out. Over there will be everything Dave K has said regarding each playlist, along with each of the actor's song picks.

In one of the 2 Davechella Q+As, David Kajganich revealed that an altnerate title to Davechella was Terrorpalooza. Both of these titles are plays on well known music festivals, Coachchella and Lalapoolazoo respectfully.
